SpaceX's Polaris Dawn Mission Targets July 31 Launch for Historic Spacewalk

The mission aims to reach the highest Earth orbit since Apollo, featuring the first commercial spacewalk and critical scientific research.

Polaris Dawn will carry a four-person crew to an altitude of 435 miles above Earth, surpassing the ISS by 185 miles.
The mission includes the first-ever commercial spacewalk with specially designed SpaceX spacesuits.
Jared Isaacman, the billionaire behind the mission, also led the all-civilian Inspiration4 flight in 2021.
The crew will conduct 38 experiments to study the effects of spaceflight and radiation on human health.
The mission will test Starlink laser-based communications for future space endeavors.
