SpaceX's Crew-8 and Crew-9 Missions Set for Launch
U.S. Space Force Col. Nick Hague to Become First Space Force Guardian in Orbit on Crew-9 Mission
- SpaceX's Crew-8 mission, carrying four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS), is targeted for launch on February 22.
- NASA's SpaceX Crew-9 mission, set to launch no earlier than August, will include U.S. Space Force Col. Nick Hague, making him the first Space Force Guardian to reach orbit.
- Hague, who has already spent 203 days in space, will serve as the pilot on the Crew-9 mission.
- The Crew-9 mission will also include NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov.
- SpaceX's Crew-9 will be the ninth operational mission for SpaceX under NASA's commercial crew program.
