Overview

  • A Falcon 9 lifted off around 7 a.m. PT Friday from SLC-4E and placed 28 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit.
  • The mission marked SpaceX’s third consecutive Falcon 9 from Vandenberg without an intervening Cape Canaveral or Kennedy launch, according to Spaceflight Now.
  • Booster B1097 flew for the second time and targeted an autonomous landing on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You.
  • Space Launch Delta 30 said Vandenberg has now logged 52 launches in 2025 and is on pace for about 70 by year’s end.
  • The FAA has authorized up to 50 Falcon 9 launches from Vandenberg in 2025, and proposals under review could expand annual permissions toward 100.
