A California civil rights agency is investigating SpaceX over allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation against female employees.
The complaints were filed by a group of engineers who claim they were fired for criticizing SpaceX and CEO Elon Musk in a letter to company executives.
SpaceX has denied wrongdoing and sued the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to block its case, claiming constitutional issues with the agency's structure.
The California Civil Rights Department notified SpaceX of the claims in January, after the engineers filed complaints several months earlier.
If no settlement is reached, the California agency could allow the workers to sue SpaceX or file a lawsuit itself.
