SpaceX Sets New Record with 73rd Launch from Florida's Space Coast in 2024

The latest Falcon 9 mission carrying Starlink satellites marks the highest number of launches in a single year from the region.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 successfully launched 22 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral, achieving the 73rd launch of the year from Florida's Space Coast.
This launch surpasses the previous record of 72 launches set in 2023, with over two months still remaining in the year.
The first-stage booster, which had been used in 18 previous missions, was successfully recovered on the droneship Just Read the Instructions.
SpaceX has conducted 68 of the 73 launches in 2024, with United Launch Alliance responsible for the remaining five.
Significant human spaceflight activity has been noted, with five missions launching 16 people, the most since the Space Shuttle Program ended in 2011.
