SpaceX Secures $733 Million in Military Launch Contracts

The U.S. Space Force awards SpaceX eight launches under the National Security Space Launch Phase 3 Lane 1 program.

SpaceX was awarded eight launches worth $733 million, including seven for the Space Development Agency and one for the National Reconnaissance Office.
The launches will use Falcon 9 rockets and are scheduled to begin no earlier than 2026.
The contracts are part of the National Security Space Launch Phase 3 Lane 1 program, which focuses on lower-risk, near-Earth orbit missions.
SpaceX, United Launch Alliance, and Blue Origin were selected earlier to compete for Lane 1 contracts, though Blue Origin's New Glenn is not yet eligible.
The Space Force aims to increase competition by allowing new launch providers to join the program annually, with a total expected value of $5.6 billion over five years.
