SpaceX Lines Up Back-to-Back Vandenberg Starlink Launches
The rapid cadence sets up a classified National Reconnaissance Office mission on Dec. 9.
Overview
- SpaceX targeted a Dec. 4 liftoff from Vandenberg’s SLC-4E to deploy 28 Starlink satellites on mission Starlink 11-25.
- Falcon 9 booster B1097 was set for its fourth flight with a drone-ship landing attempt on Of Course I Still Love You about 8.5 minutes after launch, which would mark the vessel’s 167th touchdown and SpaceX’s 544th booster landing if successful.
- This flight was described as the fourth Starlink launch of December and the 114th Starlink launch of 2025, with 2,915 Starlink satellites flown across 113 missions earlier in the year.
- Another Starlink launch from Vandenberg is planned for Sunday, Dec. 7, with a four-hour window opening at 8:13 a.m. PT, according to an FAA operations plan advisory.
- SpaceX is also slated to launch the NROL-77 mission for the National Reconnaissance Office from Cape Canaveral on Dec. 9.
