SpaceX Launches First Batch of Next-Generation US Spy Satellites

New constellation aims to enhance surveillance capabilities with rapid data delivery and responsive collection.

Falcon 9 rocket carried undisclosed number of satellites for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
This mission marks the first deployment of NRO's new proliferated systems architecture.
Half a dozen launches planned for 2024, with additional launches through 2028.
SpaceX also launched 23 Starlink satellites in a separate mission on the same day.
The new spy satellite network is part of a collaboration between SpaceX and Northrop Grumman.
