SpaceX Aims for Orbital Flight of Starship Despite Previous Explosions

SpaceX is preparing for a second test flight of its Starship rocket after the first test in April 2022 ended in an explosion.
CEO Elon Musk believes there is a decent chance of reaching orbit on the upcoming test flight if the rocket can survive the risky engine ignition during booster separation.
The Starship system consists of a Super Heavy booster and an upper stage called Starship, designed to carry people and cargo to Mars and the Moon.
Musk gave an update on Starship development at the International Astronautical Congress, saying an uncrewed Mars landing could occur in 3-4 years.
Getting the massive Starship rocket into a stable orbit is the near-term goal for SpaceX before attempting more ambitious deep space missions.
