Space Force Awards Most 2026 National-Security Launches to SpaceX, Two to ULA

Strict certification requirements kept Blue Origin off the fiscal 2026 list.

Overview

  • SpaceX was assigned USSF-206/WGS-12, USSF-155, NROL-86, USSF-149 and USSF-63 for $714 million, while ULA received NROL-88 and USSF-88/GPS IIIF-4 for $428 million.
  • The awards fall under NSSL Phase 3 Lane 2, a roughly $13.7 billion portfolio of about 54 high-assurance missions scheduled across fiscal years 2025 through 2029.
  • Launches from this round are planned after multi-year integration timelines, with missions targeting Florida launch complexes at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
  • Blue Origin received no tasks because New Glenn has not yet completed the two flights Space Force uses for certification, with the next eligibility window reported for fiscal 2027.
  • In the first Phase 3 round for fiscal 2025, SpaceX won seven of nine missions worth $848.8 million and ULA took two worth $427.6 million, following Vulcan’s certification in March 2025.
