Southwest to Launch Sonoma County Flights in April 2026

Tickets went on sale Thursday for four nonstop routes that make the Santa Rosa airport the carrier's 14th California destination.

Overview

  • Service at Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport begins April 7, 2026 with nonstop flights to San Diego, Las Vegas, Denver and Burbank.
  • San Diego and Las Vegas will operate daily with two San Diego round-trips on peak days, Burbank will run five days a week, and Denver will fly on Saturdays only.
  • Tickets for the new routes became available on Sept. 11, 2025, according to the airline.
  • Airport manager Jon Stout praised the move and said he looks forward to a long-lasting partnership after Avelo exited the airport in August.
  • Southwest framed the expansion as strengthening California connectivity following earlier workforce and airport staffing reductions this year.
