Southwest and Philippine Airlines Launch Interline Partnership Linking U.S. Gateways to Transpacific Network

Single-ticket connections through LAX, SFO, SEA and Honolulu are now available via PAL channels.

Overview

  • Dozens of new itineraries across the Pacific can be booked immediately through Philippine Airlines and select third-party sites.
  • Connections are routed through Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle/Tacoma and Honolulu, where Southwest runs a heavy Hawaii schedule.
  • Initial sales occur via PAL and certain online travel agencies, and Rapid Rewards earning or redemption is not available on these itineraries at this time.
  • Southwest says it now has four overseas partners and is exploring additional transatlantic tie-ups later this year.
  • The airline also plans a redesigned cabin and the option to purchase assigned and extra-legroom seats on flights operating from January 27, 2026.
