Southwest Airlines Revives Companion Pass with Limited-Time Offer

Travelers can earn a buy-one-get-one-free pass for flights booked by September 5, 2024, for travel through November 20, 2024.

The Companion Pass allows a designated person to fly free, excluding taxes and fees, from January 6 to March 6, 2025.
To qualify, Rapid Rewards members must book one round-trip or two one-way flights by the deadline.
This promotion simplifies the usual requirements of flying 100 one-way flights or earning 135,000 points.
The pass can be used for unlimited flights during the valid period, with the companion only paying taxes and fees.
Southwest is also transitioning from its open seating policy to assigned seating.
