Southern California Shaken by Series of Earthquakes Near Malibu
Two new quakes struck north of Malibu early Monday, following a larger tremor just days earlier.
- A magnitude 3.6 earthquake hit near Malibu at 4:22 a.m. Monday, followed by a 2.8 aftershock at 7:05 a.m.
- These quakes come on the heels of a 4.7 magnitude earthquake in the same area last Thursday.
- Over 1,100 people reported feeling Monday's tremor from as far away as Huntington Beach and Long Beach.
- No injuries or significant damage have been reported, and no tsunami warnings were issued.
- Southern California has experienced eight quakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater in the past 10 days.
