Southern California Dentist Fatally Shot by Disgruntled Former Patient

The suspect, who fled the scene in a rented U-Haul, was later apprehended by police.

A disgruntled former patient, Mohammed Abdulkareem, allegedly killed dentist Benjamin Harouni in his Southern California office.
Abdulkareem, who legally purchased the handgun used in the attack two weeks prior, fled the scene in a U-Haul truck but was later arrested.
The attack also left two other individuals wounded, including a receptionist and a man in his 40s, both of whom are in stable condition.
The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation, but there is no indication that it was tied to antisemitism.
A GoFundMe has been started to raise money for Harouni's family and a charity, America's Toothfairy, to help children without regular dental care access.
