South Park Moves Exclusively to Paramount+ as HBO Max Deal Expires

A five-year, $1.5 billion licensing pact under Park County secures Paramount+ as the show’s sole streaming home with 50 new episodes through 2030.

Overview

  • All 27 seasons and upcoming installments of South Park are now only available on Paramount+ under the new deal that took effect Aug. 6.
  • The agreement with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s Park County entity brings them $300 million per year and commits to 50 episodes through 2030.
  • Season 27 Episode 2, titled “Got a Nut,” premiered on Comedy Central on Aug. 6 and becomes available on Paramount+ at 6 a.m. ET on Aug. 7.
  • The Season 27 opener on July 23, featuring a TrumpSatan storyline, set a viewership mark not seen since 1999 and drew a White House critique.
  • Future episodes will continue to debut Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Comedy Central and stream on Paramount+ the next morning.
