South Metro Crews Rescue 4 Cats From Jefferson County Garage Fire

Medics gave oxygen to two pets during a response that contained the blaze to the garage.

  • All residents evacuated safely, and firefighters subsequently located all four reported cats.
  • Two of the rescued cats received oxygen from SMFR medical crews as a precaution before being returned to the homeowner.
  • The fire was contained to the garage with no extension into the house, and crews conducted ventilation and overhaul.
