Overview

• South Metro Fire Rescue responded shortly before 10 a.m. Monday to a fire in the 6800 block of South Allison Way in unincorporated Jefferson County.
• All residents evacuated safely, and firefighters subsequently located all four reported cats.
• Two of the rescued cats received oxygen from SMFR medical crews as a precaution before being returned to the homeowner.
• The fire was contained to the garage with no extension into the house, and crews conducted ventilation and overhaul.
• The cause remains under investigation, and West Metro Fire Rescue and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office assisted on scene.
