• Bang Ji Won, 40, was found bleeding on a Setagaya street on Sept. 1 and later died at a hospital.
• A bystander called police at about 1:35 p.m. reporting a collapse and a fleeing man near Komazawa-daigaku Station.
• Investigators say the victim suffered apparent stab wounds to the neck, with no weapon recovered at the scene.
• The suspect, 30-year-old Park Yongjun, was detained at Haneda Airport on Sept. 1 and has declined to answer questions.
• Days earlier, Tokyo police advised Ms. Bang to stay with an acquaintance and warned Park after she reported being beaten.
