Overview
- The inaugural Korea-India Joint CSR-Economic Cooperation Seminar took place on May 27 in Kohima, organized by the Korean Embassy, KOTRA and CII Nagaland to initiate long-term economic collaboration.
- The Korean delegation was led by Deputy Chief of Mission Sang Woo Lim and included senior officials from KOTRA, the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy and the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency.
- Team Korea held a CSR donation ceremony, contributing portable blood pressure meters and blood glucose monitors to local NGOs in Nagaland.
- Presentations highlighted Nagaland’s untapped strengths in agro-processing, handloom, handicrafts and organic farming alongside Korea’s expertise in smart logistics, clean energy systems and digital skills.
- Nagaland’s government and the Korean delegation agreed to begin follow-up talks to identify specific collaborative projects and advance their implementation.
