Overview
- SCR’s revised schedule from January 1 introduces network-wide changes, including new services, extensions, altered operating days, added halts, diversions and adjusted departures.
- Six new SCR express trains are included, such as weekly Tirupati–Chikmagalur and Tirupati–Shirdi Sai Nagar services and the daily Kacheguda–Bhagat Ki Kothi service, with earlier announced start dates through 2025.
- Services from other railway zones will traverse SCR territory, including new express and Amrit Bharat trains like Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli and Erode–Jogbani.
- Key extensions feature Secunderabad–Bhubaneswar Visaka Express to Bhubaneswar New, Jalna–Mumbai CSMT Vande Bharat to Nanded and Kacheguda–Mysore to Ashokapuram, alongside passenger train extensions to Nellore and Anantapur.
- Operational changes add experimental and permanent halts across Guntakal, Secunderabad and Vijayawada divisions, divert several trains away from Secunderabad via Charlapalli, Moula Ali, Dayanand Nagar and Bolarum, convert two Secunderabad–Thiruvananthapuram services to superfast with new numbers and revise origin departure times for 25 trains.
