South Carolina Couple Charged with 2015 Family Murders

Amy and Rosmore Vilardi, who claimed innocence in emotional interviews, are now accused of killing four family members.

Amy Vilardi and her husband, Rosmore 'Ross' Vilardi, have been charged with four counts of murder each in connection with the 2015 Halloween night killings of Amy’s 60-year-old mother Cathy Scott, Cathy’s 59-year-old husband Mike Scott, Amy’s grandmother Violet Taylor, 82, and Mike’s mother Barbara Scott, 80.
The couple was arrested at their home in Columbia on Friday and are currently being held without bond.
Amy Vilardi was the one who called 911 to report finding the bodies of her family members in 2015, and she and her husband gave emotional interviews to news outlets, claiming innocence.
Anderson County Sheriff Chad McBride declined to say why the charges were brought so long after the killings, stating that such details would be reserved for court.
The couple has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for Feb. 20, 2024.
