  • Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority reports 82% more rainfall this July than last year, with Punjab receiving 124% above normal and at least 178 fatalities including 85 children.
  • Heavy downpours in mid-July have killed at least 23 people in Rajasthan and 18 in Uttar Pradesh, triggering evacuations and public holiday declarations in flood-prone districts.
  • Rescue forces from the National Disaster Response Force, Provincial Disaster Management Authorities and state agencies are conducting large-scale operations and running relief camps for thousands of displaced residents.
