South African Court Convicts Man of Murdering German Tourist in 2022

Three suspects were initially charged, but two were acquitted earlier in November due to insufficient evidence and allegations of police misconduct.
The remaining defendant, Napoleon N., was convicted of murder, attempted armed robbery, and illegal possession of a firearm on Thursday in Kabokweni, South Africa.
The court criticized police handling of the case, citing coerced confessions and lack of proper investigation; sentencing for Napoleon N. is scheduled for Friday.
