Overview

• The service is scheduled for 09h00 on Sunday, 12 October, at the Siyabonga Sangweni Sport Complex in Kwa-Mbonambi, KwaZulu-Natal.
• The funeral is designated a Special Official Funeral Category 2 with ceremonial elements by the South African Police Service.
• Broadcasts will air on local television, with livestreams on GovernmentZA Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.
• Accreditation for media, invited guests, service providers and support staff will be issued at uMfolozi Local Municipality on 11 October from 15h00–19h00 and 12 October from 07h00–10h00, while other mourners do not need accreditation.
• Condolence messages can be sent to condolences@gcis.gov.za or recorded in books placed at national government sites, key airports, embassies, legislatures, ANC headquarters and premiers’ offices, with temporary road closures planned between the service venue and the burial site.
