• Sourav Ganguly was elected unopposed at the CAB AGM on September 22, replacing Snehasish Ganguly under tenure rules, with Bablu Kolay, Madan Mohan Ghosh, Sanjay Das and Anu Dutta also chosen unopposed.
• His immediate task is preparing Eden Gardens for the India–South Africa Test on November 14, the venue’s first Test since the 2019 pink-ball match.
