His music found renewed popularity through its inclusion in films and TV shows such as 'Almost Famous,' 'Don't Worry Darling,' and 'The Umbrella Academy.'
Wood was deeply connected to his Southern California community, performing at local events and sharing his story to inspire at-risk youth.
His farewell tour, 'Catch You on the Rebound: The Last Tour,' was cut short in 2024 due to health issues, but his final message to fans was, 'Catch you on the rebound.'
