Overview

• The attack occurred in broad daylight near the Whitgift Centre in August 2024 when Amini, then 21, forced himself on a 13-year-old on North End Road.
• He forcibly kissed the girl, tried to shove a cannabis joint into her mouth and threatened violence by claiming ties to a local stabber.
• Metropolitan Police traced his movements using CCTV footage, specially trained forensic dogs and phone data to arrest him in Liverpool five days later.
• At Croydon Crown Court on June 27, 2025, Amini was convicted of rape and sexual assault and given a seven-year prison term.
