• Sophie Lee, 29, a Manchester-based motivational speaker and influencer, will enter the Love Island villa on June 9 for ITV2’s milestone tenth series.
• Her ex-boyfriend Ouzy See, 30, who featured in series 10, says he was “gutted” to learn of her casting and believes they still have unfinished business.
• At age 22 Lee suffered serious burns during a Chicago fire-breathing act and later underwent intralesional cryotherapy, steroid injections and chemotherapy to treat a keloid tumour.
• She partners with the Katie Piper Foundation to support people living with burns and visible scars and has said she now feels ready to find her person.
• Love Island series 12 will air on ITV2 and ITVX with Maya Jama returning as host and new twists and challenges set in Mallorca.
