• On July 24, Swindon Magistrates Court sentenced 31-year-old Sophie Clifford to a 12-month community order after her June guilty plea for stalking and harassment.
• The order requires up to 15 rehabilitation activity days, a £292 fine, £85 in court costs and a £114 payment toward victim services.
• Clifford admitted repeatedly messaging her ex, turning up uninvited at his home, leaving a personalized bracelet on his car and falsely claiming pregnancy to gain his attention.
• On January 27 she followed the victim to a gym and swerved her car at him and a friend, narrowly missing them and causing fear of harm.
• The victim’s statement described ongoing anxiety, social isolation and concern for his vulnerable father after the sustained campaign of harassment.
