Overview

  • At 15 weeks pregnant, Yasin’s severe nausea and night sweats led to collapse and scans, unveiling stage 2 pre-mediastinal B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma initially mistaken for pneumonia.
  • Facing a rapidly growing chest tumour near her heart, she and her husband chose to induce the stillbirth of their daughter, Kainaat Pearl, so she could begin R-CHOP chemotherapy without delay.
  • After six cycles of R-CHOP, Yasin was declared in remission in January 2025 and has since shared her story to raise awareness and support for cancer patients.
  • Drawing on her journey, she highlights the need for prompt evaluation of severe symptoms in pregnancy to safeguard maternal health.
  • Confronting ongoing grief and mental-health struggles, she has been medically advised to wait about two years before attempting another pregnancy.
