Sony's Madame Web Trailer Introduces New Spider-Heroes and Villain

Cassandra Webb, a Paramedic with Clairvoyant Powers, Unites with Spider-Heroes to Battle Ezekiel Sims

The first trailer for Sony’s Madame Web movie introduces Cassandra Webb, a paramedic who gains clairvoyant powers after a near-death experience, and is pursued by Ezekiel Sims, a character with powers similar to Spider-Man.
Cassandra Webb, portrayed by Dakota Johnson, unites with three young women: Julia Carpenter (Sydney Sweeney), Mattie Franklin (Celeste O'Connor), and Anya Corazon (Isabela Merced), all of whom gain spider-related powers.
Ezekiel Sims, played by Tahar Rahim, is an established Marvel Comics character who has powers similar to Spider-Man and a deep knowledge of various mystical aspects of the Spider-Man universe.
Despite the Spider-Man-like villain, Sony Pictures is attempting to build a shared universe of movies around the properties it has licensed from Marvel without directly involving Spider-Man.
Madame Web is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2024.
