Sony to Discontinue Airpeak S1 Drone by March 2025

The high-priced drone, initially launched in 2021, failed to compete in the market despite several updates.

Sony announced that sales of the Airpeak S1 drone will cease on March 31, 2025, with support continuing until 2030.
The Airpeak S1 was designed to work with Sony's mirrorless cameras and initially launched at CES 2021.
Despite its features, including a top speed of 55.9mph and ability to withstand strong winds, the drone received negative reviews for its performance and setup complexity.
Sony cited 'changes in the business environment' as the reason for discontinuation, suggesting low sales were a factor.
Accessories sales will also end next year, but replacement parts like batteries and propellers will be available until 2026.
