Overview
- Sony announced two models called the PlayStation Pulse (Pulse Wireless) and the Pulse Edge with staggered launches planned for holiday 2026 and early 2027 respectively.
- Both headsets use custom planar magnetic drivers aimed at clearer positional detail, with the Pulse shown to use four magnets and the Pulse Edge eight to boost bass and fullness.
- Both models include AI-enhanced noise-rejection in their integrated microphones and the Pulse Edge adds active noise cancellation plus a detachable boom mic for clearer voice chat.
- The headsets use a PlayStation Link wireless dongle and also support PS5, PS Portal, Mac, PC and Bluetooth devices, and the Pulse Edge adds a hardware wheel to adjust game and chat volume.
