- Sony announced Wednesday that the October PlayStation Plus Essential games will be claimable from Oct. 6 through Nov. 2.
- The three free titles are F1 25 for PS5, Hunt: Showdown 1896 for PS5, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 for PS5 and PS4.
- Subscribers on Essential, Extra, or Premium can add the games to their libraries and play them for as long as their membership remains active.
- F1 25 is the marquee AAA entry, originally released in May 2025, Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter with spooky seasonal appeal, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 offers voxel-style four-player co-op and last-gen support.
- Sony will also publish limited-time Halloween-themed in-game bundles and Spider-Man: Brand New Day avatars in early October and members should remember to claim September’s free games by Oct. 5.
