Overview
- The closed beta, live since July 24 in the US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany and France, lets DualSense controllers register up to four Bluetooth devices at once.
- Users enter pairing mode by holding the PS button and an action button for five seconds to assign devices to triangle, circle, cross or square slots.
- Switching between paired devices is accomplished by holding the PS button plus the corresponding action button and watching the light bar blink the slot number.
- Sony has confirmed a full firmware release in the coming months, which will bundle the multi-device feature with an optional power saver mode for supported PS5 titles.
- There is no official word yet on whether the multi-device pairing will extend beyond DualSense to peripherals like the PSVR2 Sense motion controller.
