Overview

  • Helldivers 2 launched on Xbox Series X|S on Aug. 26 and is now available on Xbox, PS5, and PC, with a $39.99 Standard Edition and a $59.99 Super Citizen Edition.
  • The release enables full cross-play across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, but it does not support cross-progression, so unlocks and progress do not carry over between platforms.
  • Player counts climbed to roughly 380,000–420,000 concurrently on launch day, leading to at least one large-scale server crash that briefly dropped the total to about 147,000.
  • A Helldivers 2 × Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond launched alongside the port, adding ODST-style armor plus the MA5C assault rifle and Magnum for about $15.
  • Arrowhead’s next update, Into the Unjust, is scheduled for Sept. 2 with new Terminid-focused missions and enemies, followed by the Dust Devils Warbond on Sept. 4.
