Overview

• Mic-enabled Sonos speakers can switch Hue lights on or off, dim or brighten, change color or color temperature, launch scenes, and control compatible smart plugs.
• All commands are processed on the speaker with no cloud processing, no recordings, and no internet required, which is intended to improve speed and privacy.
• Supported models include Sonos One, Era 100 and Era 300, Move and Move 2, Roam and Roam 2, Beam (Gen 1 and Gen 2), and Arc.
• This marks the first non-music use case for Sonos Voice Control, with Philips Hue signaling broader integration plans beyond lighting control.
• Philips Hue also announced a slate of products and updates with North American release windows, including Hue Bridge Pro, Hue Essential bulbs and strips, new Festavia lights, and enhancements to Hue Secure.
