Sonora Operations Seize 13.7 Million Fentanyl-Related Doses and 300 Kilograms of Meth, Three Detained

  • On Highway México 15 near Huatabampo, a joint force stopped a white Ford F-250 and found 101.56 kilograms of crystal, 14.75 kilograms of apparent fentanyl tablets, and 26.223 kilograms of fentanyl-like powder totaling 13,769,300 doses.
  • The driver, identified as Luis Ángel “N,” was detained and the seizure was placed under the authority of the Fiscalía General de la República.
  • At the Cucapah military checkpoint in San Luis Río Colorado, gamma-ray screening of a freightliner revealed about 300 kilograms of methamphetamine concealed in drums labeled Dynclor Granular.
  • Rogelio “N,” 41, and Jorge “N,” 42, were arrested on the tractor-trailer load reported as traveling from Hermosillo to Tijuana, and were turned over to the Ministerio Público Federal.
  • Authorities credited coordinated action by the Army, National Guard, Navy, state police, and investigative units, and said investigators have not ruled out a U.S. destination for the Huatabampo shipment.
