Sonoma County Park Ranger Killed in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Katranne 'Kat' Pringle, 38, was found dead alongside former coworker Keith Gray in ranger housing near Santa Rosa.

Katranne 'Kat' Pringle, a 38-year-old Sonoma County park ranger, was discovered deceased on November 27 after failing to report to work.
Authorities believe Keith Gray, 43, a former coworker of Pringle, shot her before taking his own life in ranger housing assigned to her near Hood Mountain Regional Park.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office conducted a welfare check at Pringle's residence, where both bodies were found in the bathroom with evidence of gunshot wounds.
Pringle, described as a dedicated and compassionate ranger, joined Sonoma County Regional Parks in 2017 and was promoted to ranger in 2018.
She is survived by a 22-year-old son, and fundraising efforts have been launched to support her family and cover funeral expenses.
