Sonnenlandpark lays foundation for 65 m Erlebnispyramide and expands family attractions

It will partially open this autumn with its connecting Skywalk due in 2026.

Overview

  • The foundation stone for the 2.5 million euro Erlebnispyramide was laid on June 4 following April groundwork.
  • The 65 metre cone-shaped tower will include an observation platform, spiral slide and elevator-accessible Skywalk linking to the existing slide tower.
  • Park operators aim for a partial opening in autumn 2025 and have scheduled the Skywalk debut for next year ahead of the park’s 20th anniversary.
  • This spring Sonnenlandpark opened a water spray park and the Helios giant hamster wheel to broaden its family-oriented offerings.
  • The park attracted over 250,000 visitors last year and opted against a roller coaster to uphold its environmental concept.
