Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Set for March 2027 Release

Paramount confirms the next installment in the Sonic movie franchise will debut on March 19, 2027, following the record-breaking success of Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

Paramount Pictures has officially announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will premiere in theaters on March 19, 2027, continuing the popular Sega video game-inspired film series.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3, released in December 2024, has become the highest-grossing entry in the franchise, earning $422 million globally and contributing to the series surpassing $1 billion in total box office revenue.
The post-credits scene of Sonic 3 hinted at new characters and plotlines, with speculation suggesting the fourth film may introduce Amy Rose and Metal Sonic while exploring time travel themes.
Jeff Fowler, who directed the first three films, is expected to return, along with main cast members Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and potentially Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik.
The Sonic franchise has expanded beyond films, including a 2024 Paramount+ spin-off series featuring Knuckles, and continues to be a major focus for Paramount's family-friendly entertainment lineup.
