Song Kang-ho to Star in Disney+ Series 'Uncle Samsik'

Song Kang-ho, known for his performance in the Oscar-winning film Parasite, has been cast in the Disney+ series 'Uncle Samsik', marking his first TV role.
The series, set in 1960s Korea, follows an ambitious idealist, Kim San, who aims to transform his country into an industrial nation.
Song Kang-ho plays Pak Doochill, also known as Uncle Samsik, a fixer who helps Kim San achieve his goals.
Byun Yo-han, known for his work in television dramas such as 'Six Flying Dragons' and 'Mr. Sunshine', stars alongside Song Kang-ho as Kim San.
The series is written and directed by Shin Yeonshick, and is set to debut on Disney+ (Hulu in the United States) in 2024.
