• Dr. Gitanjali J. Angmo filed a habeas corpus petition on October 2 under Article 32 seeking Sonam Wangchuk’s immediate release and questioning the use of the National Security Act.
• Wangchuk has been held in Jodhpur Central Jail since September 26 following Leh protests on September 24 that turned violent, leaving four dead and many injured.
