Overview
- Producers and Mendoza authorities confirmed on Monday that ECOS will play Arena Maipú on Friday, August 21, with 4,200 tickets going on sale Wednesday, July 8 at 11:00 via Ticketek and prices set between ARS 130,000 and ARS 220,000.
- The production uses a bespoke visual and audio system described by organizers as not a traditional hologram, and the digital representation of Gustavo Cerati was developed under the supervision of Charly Alberti, Zeta Bosio and Cerati’s children Benito and Lisa.
- ECOS has been a major commercial draw since its Buenos Aires debut, with producers reporting more than 350,000 attendees in Buenos Aires and over 500,000 tickets sold across the region, and the tour is scheduled to expand to other Latin American cities, Europe and the United States.
- Mendoza was chosen because Arena Maipú meets the technical and infrastructure needs of the show, municipal and provincial officials said, and organizers left open the possibility of adding further dates if local demand is strong.
- The Mendoza performance is planned as a roughly 1 hour 45 minute, intimate-format live show that aims to recreate the feeling of Soda Stereo on stage, a choice that organizers say gives emotional value to fans while also creating short‑term tourism and spending effects for the city.
