Overview
- Cleberson Paulo dos Santos, known as “Nego Mimo” or “Nego Limo,” was shot in a confrontation in Vila Curuçá after exchanging fire with officers from the 3rd Shock Battalion.
- Investigators had identified him as a disciplinary leader of the PCC in the East Zone and a member of the Bonde dos 14 cell previously mapped for plotting attacks on public officials.
- Police seized his phone for forensic analysis and recovered a 9 mm pistol with a defaced serial number at the scene.
- Santos had been a fugitive since 2022 after failing to return from a temporary prison leave while serving a homicide sentence, with more than 10 years still to serve and a record including robbery and drug offenses.
- Civil Police are probing potential ties to the killing of ex–delegate-general Ruy Ferraz Fontes, whose name appeared on a PCC kill list in 2019, with the DHPP overseeing the case and three arrests already reported in the broader investigation.
