Snow Squall Warning Targets Five WNY Counties, Threatens I‑90 Travel

  • Affected stretches include Interstate 90 between exits 48–48A and 52–57, with rapid deterioration expected on highways.
  • Listed communities at risk include Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Clarence, Lackawanna, Batavia, Depew, Lancaster, Hamburg and Brockport.
  • Hazards include brief heavy snow, blowing snow and wind gusts up to 20 mph that can drop visibility below one-quarter mile, and officials urge drivers to delay travel or slow down with headlights on and avoid abrupt braking.
