- A dangerous band from near Capac to Lapeer to Beecher was moving southeast at about 35 mph, with impacts also noted for Atlas, North Street, Attica, Elba, Rattle Run, Goodells, Brockway, Smiths Creek, Wadhams, and Thornville.
- Hazards include intense bursts of snow, blowing and drifting that can drop visibility below one-quarter mile, wind gusts over 35 mph, and rapid formation of black ice.
- Officials urge drivers to avoid or delay travel during the warning; if already on the road, slow gradually, use headlights and hazard lights, increase following distance, and avoid abrupt braking.
- Similar short-fused warnings were issued Sunday for parts of Iowa and Nebraska, including stretches of I-35, I-80, I-235, US-30, US-69, and US-75, underscoring a recurring, highly localized hazard.
