The film, directed by Charles Stone III, is inspired by Snoop Dogg's real-life experiences as the founder of the Snoop Youth Football League.
Despite its crude humor and profanity, the film delivers a message about the importance of community and resilience.
The film also stars Tika Sumpter as Jaycen's old high-school flame and mother of one of the kids on the team, and Mike Epps as a former classmate who initially tries to carjack Jaycen.
The Underdoggs premiered on January 26 on Amazon’s Prime Video and is rated R.
