'SNL 1975': New Film to Chronicle Origins of Saturday Night Live

Jason Reitman is directing and co-writing a film titled 'SNL 1975', which chronicles the origins of Saturday Night Live.
The film is based on extensive interviews conducted by Reitman and his collaborator Gil Kenan with the living cast, writers and crew of SNL's first broadcast on October 11, 1975.
The cast includes Gabriel LaBelle as Lorne Michaels, Cooper Hoffman as Dick Ebersol, Rachel Sennott as Rosie Shuster, Dylan O’Brien as Dan Aykroyd, Lamorne Morris as Garrett Morris, Ella Hunt as Gilda Radner, Cory Michael Smith as Chevy Chase, Matt Wood as John Belushi, Emily Fairn as Laraine Newman, and Kim Matula as Jane Curtin.
The film will feature portrayals of all the original Not Ready for Primetime Players, as well as key behind-the-scenes figures.
The project aims to bring to life the trailblazers of television's sketch comedy.
