Overview
- The national weather service expects impacts from Tuesday to Thursday as two fronts interact with a subtropical jet, low-pressure channels and Gulf moisture to intensify rainfall.
- The first front enters Baja California between September 23 and 25, bringing showers, strong rain and gusty conditions as it couples with the subtropical jet.
- A second front will reach the northern border, increasing strong to very strong rains in the north and northeast, with forecast northerly winds in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.
- Tuesday, September 23: very strong to intense rain (75–150 mm) in Chiapas (west and south), Oaxaca (east), Puebla (east) and Veracruz (south), with strong totals (50–75 mm) in Campeche, Colima, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit, Quintana Roo and Yucatán.
- Wednesday, September 24 and Thursday, September 25: very strong to intense rain on Wednesday in Chiapas, Nayarit, Oaxaca and Veracruz, then shifting Thursday to Chiapas, Sinaloa (north), Jalisco (east), Puebla (north), Tamaulipas (west and southwest), San Luis Potosí (east) and Veracruz (north).
